About us
Alex and the team are passionate about being Taupo’s most trusted electricians. We pride ourselves on delivering top quality service and workmanship across a wide variety of electrical needs.
A family-owned and operated business based in Claret Ash Drive Taupo, but also servicing a large client base around the Central North Island and heading towards Bay of Plenty.
Our youthful energetic team are multi-skilled and can efficiently tackle any task, from domestic to commercial to rural and industrial.
We have what we believe is the right sized crew to undertake large jobs efficiently but also retain that personal connection with our clients. Keeping the same guy/girl on the same job where possible ensures consistency, efficiency, and the best outcome for the client.
We utilise the latest in job management systems so nothing gets lost or forgotten. Everything is on smart phones which means our team has all the information they need at their fingertips wherever they are and is stored online for any future requirements.
We pride ourselves on combining our quality workmanship with quality materials that will go the distance, leading to fewer breakdowns in the future.

Meet the team
Alex Stewart
Director / Electrician
Alex began his electrical apprenticeship in Taumarunui and the early age of 16. By 21 he was running a team in Matamata and project managing large commercial developments, such as Waitomo caves and Innovation Park to name a few. But by far his best move has been going out on his own in 2013. When he’s not on the tools or avoiding office work Alex likes being out on the water, mountain biking, enjoying time with his girls or nagging his wife for a bigger boat, digger, workshop you name it.
Clare Stewart
Director / Accounts
Clare is the ultimate multitasker, kept on her toes wrangling two primary schoolers, the books, the purse strings, and an ambitious husband! With a background in management and finance and being a tad on the side of bossy, we make a great team.
Brenda Roberts
Business Support Manager
Brenda is usually the first contact you have with our company and is a fantastic problem solver. She is across it all and runs an amazingly smooth ship, keeping the bosses in line! She is also an incredible baker, which isn't the best for our waist lines but we arent complaining
Andy Jenkins
Senior Electrician
Andy has two trades under his belt, thought he might try his hand at becoming a sparky after working in the print industry for years. He’s very keen to learn, great with people, and is a natural leader. Taupo born and bred Andy knows how to make the most of living in our beautiful town as well as carrying out home reno’s to keep the other half happy.
Keegan Thomas
Senior Electrician
Keegan first spent a year with us before heading back up north to grow the family (literally). Now he’s back, a little wiser, a little more experienced, and just as much of a weapon on the tools. He’s hit the ground running and brings a solid work ethic, great attitude, and plenty of banter to the crew.
Cameron Togiatau
Registered Electrician
Cam started with us in 2021 as an apprentice and has worked his way up through the ranks to become a qualified electrician. Hardworking and reliable, he’s become a key part of the team. He’s also our crowd favourite — especially with the older ladies — consistently earning glowing reviews wherever he goes thanks to his great attitude and top-notch service.
Justin Rainbow
Electrical apprentice
Justin joined the team in early 2023 to kick off his electrical apprenticeship journey. A keen learner and natural conversationalist, he’s always eager to get stuck in and build his skills. If it’s got a motor, Justin’s interested — and we’re looking forward to seeing him continue to grow and progress through the trade.
Derek Rakatau
Registered Electrician
After a successful career in electrical trade sales Derek decided to give the install thing a go! And boy he brings a wealth of product knowledge with him along with the value of life skills and maturity. When he's not on the job he loves going bush with his family and is fantastic for team moral, his positivity is contagious
Cohan Elmiger
Registered Electrician
Cohan joined us freshly qualified and ready to keep learning. He’s brought plenty of enthusiasm with him and has really enjoyed getting stuck into the industrial and agricultural side of the trade. A great asset to the team and a true Taupō local, Cohan’s a solid operator who’s always keen to get the job done right.
Stormi Gray
The spoilt frenchie
Meet the time waster, Gray. She's very very social. Found greeting each and every visitor, cuddling with the post ladies, licking the floor for left overs or snoring like an overweight bear.
